Tadpoles / Pollywogs

We visited a local pond which is little more than a large puddle with reeds. It's about a foot deep and has at least 1000 tadpoles/pollywogs in it. The toads have succeeded in creating a new generation. At least, I think they're toads. That's what we have in great abundance around here. Sometimes a leopard frog or a wood frog will come through. Tree frogs are rare in this area. These little wigglers better beware of ducks, geese, and herons. We have plenty of them around, too.

Yesterday's blip: First full day of sunshine for these litte ones
