Times are a changing

Greenfinches were once common garden birds, but they are going through difficult times. Trichomonosis, an infectious disease, has led to dramatic declines in greenfinch populations across much of Britain. Birds die in the summer and autumn months, and outbreaks of the disease have continued to occur each year since emerging in 2005.
