Fabrique en Belgique

Short of ideas of what to blip today I thought I would photograph these beautiful wooden frames that we bought in Bruges last year. They have that driftwood look to them and hang from each other.

Inside the frames are prints that we made with the help of our friend Rachel, using 19th century photographic developing techniques. They came out really well - (from top to bottom) Image taken in Bruges by Jackie, printed from computer as a negative, then printed face to face with prepared silver paper. Family portrait, printed from a 19th century glass plate negative. Early 20th century house printed from daguerreotype negative plate.
