Tuition fees...

The front of the student newspaper, Seren, questions whether Bangor University will charge the maximum £9000 next year. Apparently an announcement is to be made at the end of May...thank goodness I started before the increased fees.

Would I pay £9000 for the education I'm receiving? No. Why? Well, I struggle to see what I would be paying for...I currently have a maximum 7 hours a week lectures, a total set to decrease in my third and final year, next year. The vast majority of learning is carried out in your own time, teaching yourself in many respects...where is the value for money?

And don't get me started on how families earning a middle of the road wage lose out! :-P
