Nason Creek of the Wenatchee

I visited a new project site yesterday on Nason Creek, a tributary to the Wenatchee River and along Highway 2. We're helping Grant PUD develop design and construct acclimation pond facilities for endangered spring Chinook.

This a blip of a standing wave formed by a old rock groin that extends out into the river. The rock groin was built to encourage the flow away from an eroding bank and also has created a nice pool that we are going to try and utilize for the project.
