The Knave Of Hearts

Ok I didn't steal them but I did make them. Nice crisp tart base - almost shortbready, whipped cream, fresh organic strawberries and a little grating of some Green & Black's Maya Gold chocolate. Served them outside on the terrace where they lasted nearly five minutes before the board was left with just some crumbs and a little smear of chocolate. These were a little bit of a success.

I've watched Masterchef and I know they bang on about consistency and how every plate must look the same - but I'm asking you, would you really turn your nose up if someone had gone to the trouble of trying to make you smile of a summer's day? I think if you answered "yes", you don't really have a lot to worry about in your life*.

Today has been a day of shopping and surprising a neighbour. Everytime I came back in to the stair, my neighbour wsa just coming out of her flat. Spooky timing.

Today's song features Akshay Kumar (and Ritesh Deshmukh, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Vidya Balan) and it has one of the best ever Guest Appearances. It's right on the long OhhhhhhHO. I laughed out loud when i saw it for the first time and it still makes me laugh.

*- Of course if you're turning your nose up because you're lactose intolerant, allergic to strawberries or have coeliac disease, then obviously I would have made you something different. i'm not a monster you know.
