Splash splash

Waves smashed their heads on the shore under stormy clouds. She pulled back but the water rushed quickly and managed to kiss her feet. She bent down and gently put her both hands into the water as if to oblige it.

"It's is not cold", she told him while caressing the receding wave.
"Yeah, warmer than expected", he replied after dipping his fingers in the water.
"I can go in the water up-to my knees".
"You better swim".
"Let's do it together".
"I don't have swimming shorts".
"Me too!".

The two lonely figures walked down the shoreline of the empty beach. The sun had disappeared in the horizon and the rain pouring. They hid their belongings in a strandkorb and rushed to where the sun had done.
