Whale of a Time

Down at Sumburgh Head this morning to see if there were many Puffins about -not a lot on the cliffs but a few out at sea.

All of a sudden three Killers Whales came charging along following the cliff face. Great to see and living in hope that one of the shots I took would at least confirm their existance. You can just about make out the shape of the big one at the top under the water and it certainly looked like parents and young.

There were only about a dozen people about but as I was driving away the grapevine was working well as mini-buses starting rolling up.

It days like this that make the Scottish Islands and in my case Shetland so special.

Bit of a Blow
