Sometimes they get it right!

Like most folk, I am not averse to telling my local authority when they have got things wrong.

It's only fair, then, to be just as vocal when I think North Lanarkshire Council has got it right! Their customer service response to a concern is excellent; their Coatbridge Library staff are terrific .... and they're creating some pleasant new builds.

This is the atrium of the fairly new Buchanan Centre in Coatbridge. Amongst others, it houses a bright, clean, user-friendly library and departments of NHS Lanarkshire. It is a bright space in a depressed and depressing Main Street. Now let's see if the partner building currently under construction in Airdrie, has the same qualities.
