Disparate Housecats of Daytona Beach, episode 5

As those of you who are cat servants may or may not know cats can disappear for many hours or even days. It doesn't mean they aren't invisible right under foot. Fortunately, there is a new Stealth Cat Finder app for the iPhone which allows them to be detected under lumière de chat. (The French are so good at these sort of technologies. As Mrs. Solcombe told us on numerous occasions, "When I wanted to find me pussy in the dark, I just asked a Frenchman, particularly one that was associated with financial exchange. Or an Italian president. Or if I was in Argentina, a South Carolina Governor.") The initial image is in an intense green. Very similar to the night scopes we used in Vietnam to be able to see "the enemy" or feral dogs or monitor lizards or, if you were close enough to a metropolis, mama-san trying to sell you a Pepsi. Not that Mirl and Sidd are my enemies or mama-sans, but knowing where they are keeps one from tripping over them. (In a recent Yale cat servant study, cat servants were 72% more likely to trip in their homes from unknown causes then non-cat-servant residents. Yale discovered that the cats were really the cause when they resorted to their invisible form.) Sidd and Mirl don't use their cloaking ability maliciously, just for a little privacy. Poor, poor, pussies - so misunderstood.
