Art Rosenbaum

Just out of high school, in the early 1960s, Art Rosenbaum became interested in recording the African American blues of Indianapolis, Indiana. It's a body of music that all but the die hard music fanatics know exist. Art has spent a lifetime working on record and CD projects showcasing this rare music.

He stopped by the Folk School tonight to to share the stories and music of 50 + years of field recording folk musicians. Not only did he work with these early blues greats but he continues to record and interview Indiana, southern folk and gospel musicians.

Art is also an amazing banjo player. He is held in very high esteem by my banjo picking buddies.
