Goshawk chicks

Yet another extremely fabulous afternoon in the 3 Stags Head in Wardlow Mire.
A customer had brought along their Goshawk chicks.
I had heard that birds of prey were regular occurrences in the pub but this was the first time i'd seen them.
I was sitting on a stool looking at them when one of them stood up, stuck it's backside in the air and shat out of the container that they were in.
Luckily I was facing the other way as it flew out.
As they are carrion they do this to stop the nest becoming full of crap as what with the flies etc. from the meat they eat, it could become a problem.
Not the prettiest looking chicks i've ever seen, very prehistoric looking, with mad eyes and talons and beaks that look very nasty.
But I can't wait to see them in 10 weeks time when they will be fully grown and perched on the back of a chair.
