Crocodile Rock, Millport, Isle of Cumbrae

A grand day out, and the weather was thankfully kind to us. A drive down to Largs and over on the Cal Mac ferry to the Isle of Cumbrae.

After eating our lunch beside the Crocodile Rock, we had a picture posing session. Then off to hire bikes and cycle the 10 mile circuit around the island. My friend FW featured here actually went in swimming when we stopped at a beach on the west side of the island. Lady Findhorn would be proud of me cycling all the way round, and I wasn't last back either.

Ferry back to Largs and then the traditional Fish and Chips and can of Irn Bru, followed by an icecream cone from Nardini's. Sunny and windy and great views up the Firth of Clyde.

#1 completed the Three Peaks Challenge with 40 mins to spare. Ben Nevis summit at 11 pm last night, Scafell Pike summit at 9 am this morning and the top of Mount Snowdon in Wales at 6.30 pm. They had to be back down from there within the 24 hour period. Well done to him, and some tasty tablet from the Millport Sweet Shop to look forward to as a reward. (More info on the Challenge on my Blip yesterday.)
