The Baltic - Newcastle Quayside

This is the BalticBaltic, it was once a flour mill but is now a centre for contemporary art. It houses some really good exhibitions, and the viewing platform at the top gives an excellent view over the city (not today though it' too cloudy!).

This picture s taken through the Millenium Bridge which is apparently the only tilting bridge in the world??! The bridge tilts via massive pistons, a couple of times per day to let boats pass underneath it. This is at the height of the tilt hence the crazily high walkway!
