Emily M. A portrait

It's quite a while since we all went for a walk and today we headed along to Arbroath and walked along the coast to Carnoustie. It was just over 6 miles and not too easy with my weak leg, to keep up with the young un's and the very fit old 'uns. They were kind and waited for me and we enjoyed some chat and a good few laughs.

The after walk Barbi, was started when we got back . We ate sausages, burgers, chicken legs and a haunch of Roe deer venison. The salads, pasta, baked potatoes rolls and all the strawberries, raspberries and melon fed about 30 people.

Margie deserves a medal for all her hard work, with not a little help from all the girls too. Thanks for a wonderful day.

The charity collection was on behalf of Marie Curie, which all the barbi attenders contributed to. I do hope you made a good amount to swell the coffers of that charity. They do amazing work.

The portrait of Emily was taken while she talked to her "Stew" via Skpye in Saudi. She misses him so much, but hopefully not for too much longer.
