Midway Museum

After setting up our tradeshow stand for tomorrow. I went to visit the carrier USS Midway this afternoon.

Commissioned in 1945 just after the war, she was the largest ship in the world at the time. On her last deployment before decommisioning she was flagship for the first Gulf War in 1991. After that she was mothballed for 10 years, before finding new life as a museum. It was fascinating to see an aircraft carrier and some of the planes she has carried through the years.
