FEEL ALIVE

Had an amazing walk up into the Penine Hills today to see the new wind farm thats being constructed. At one point the hailstones where blowing vertically across stonecross moor but when i reached the brow the clouds cleared and the sun came out.
Some people love wind farms, some people hate them but very few people ever loved a nuclear or fossil fuel power station?

Personally i love them. I love the elegance of them, i love the sheer scale of them, i love that they harness a natural renewable resource. To anyone who says they ruin the landscape the moors are by and large man made (or defined?). We cut down the forests, we graze the land, in this area we even quarry the hills.

To me this is merely the next step and when the alternatives to generate power are more likely to bring an end to all environments- its a good start.

ps to give you an idea of their size you can just see a landrover at the foot of the nearest one.
