Leaving the moor

Having spent some time with N's elderly aunt, cooked her some meals, warm family input, organise uncle's funeral and tea for next week, we drove home again over Dartmoor which is looking extraordinarily green compared with the small drought-striken meadows leading down from the moor. There were many ponies and their foals, sheep, lots of golden coloured South Devon and black Aberdeen Angus cattle, not mentioning lines of walkers tramping over the bracken.

This view is on the edge of Dartmoor above Holne and Buckfastleigh and looking toward Chase Wood just above Ashburton. Some miles south of there is Torquay and the Devon Riviera.
