Anne's Daily Encounters

Waterbus

A day outdoors walking with others from Dordrecht towards Kinderdijk, the dutch place to be for seeing windmills, water and polders. We walked some 20 kms and travelled some stretches by waterbusses. First time in my life I travelled by a waterbus and encountered thus a new travel system. Quite a thrill to travel across the broad rivers and pass by from the old docks and land on well designed and spacious busstops - waterbus stops. All running on schedule this transport of modern times. Ofcourse the catamaran waterbusses have indoor seats, really needed for wintertimes and on the rear deck bycicles can be stalled, lots of people use this means of transport on daily base for getting to their work or school. The lines sail between Dordrecht and Rotterdam.

Walking we passed by from a few children that caressed their pets and these pets were chickens. Never before I'd seen chickens be embrased like the girl held her chick Pookee - I'll see whether I can add that pix later on, such a sweet blip that is.
