Whitsun Rose

In Germany Peony's are known as "Pfingstrosen" as they bloom around Whitsun and indeed this year they have managed to be on time - I can't remember the last time they achieved this.

Today we were promised rain (we need it) and as I wanted to do some tidying up in the garden before it came, was out & about at 5:00 am. Around 4:00 pm it eventually arrived and lasted about 1 minute. However, it turned cool & I spotted this fellow who, like me, was suffering under the change of temperature.
