24H stores make Shanghai a nice city to live in. No matter how cold, hot, tired, hungry, lonely you are, you can always find a 24H store within 5 minutes walking distance to refresh you.

Thanks to jetlag, I enjoyed nightlife pretty much in the city. The nights normally start with a coffee in a convenient store at 1am, then flow to bookstores, karaoke, cafe, cinema, etc. The dark trip would end before the moring rush hour starts. It's interesting to live in a city with 20 million people but you only see several hundred of them a day (night).
