An Afternoon Of Queen

No, not THAT Queen, even if it is her birthday today!

Went to Aberdeen's His Majesty's theatre to see the musical We Will Rock You, and enjoyed every minute of it!

The main character was played by Noel (formally of Hear'say) and he could belt the songs out with the best of them! Also, remember Tricky Dicky from Eastenders? He's a hippy in this production! There was meant to be a bloke from Hollyoaks playing another main character, but for our show we got a VERY NICE young Greek-born actor instead!

Some of the songs in the first half had some words changed to fit the plot, but otherwise it was hit after hit to sing along to - and a few digs at Simon Cowell along the way!

The music of Queen was played brilliantly by the show's band, sounding very close to the real thing. Ben Elton's writing was also superb, including very strong female lead characters.

And, yes girls, Noel still has THAT smile!
