Boundary Dwellers

fascination of flames

My sons' scout group - 4th Leith, Edinburgh - celebrated their Centenary today. We did think that 11th June would be fairly safe but yesterday's balmy evening turned today into relentless rain as there was no wind to blow anything away. But, as you can see here, the boys could not be kept away from a FIRE no matter how damp the weather!!! There is something hypnotic about fires, is there not, and as part of a display of scouting skills a proper fire pit had been dug so that the boys could bake apples and chocolate bananas in the old metal oven.
