Santorini

This is one of the places you have to see to appreciate its unique beauty! In 1450BC this island erupted forming Santorini's spectacular crescent shape. The ship dropped anchor off Skala which is 270 m below the small town Thira, the islands capital. We decided against the donkey ride to get us to the top and took the cable car. The white-washed houses cling to the top of the volcanic cliffs and every centimeter is utilized- roofs etc.
