Man on The Silver Mountain

Evening all,

Well in my case its more of a man standing on a wall during rush hour on the very busy A629 to get a blip!!

Less of a catchy song title though.

Had an unexpected good day at work today, i went to my govenors Fourth leaving do in as many days, honestly that man is having more encores than Liberace used to do!!

( I realise that this reference may need a bit of qualification for those below the age of..ooh 35 ish, but i'm not going to do so, ask yer mum!!)

My boss, who isn't without a sense of drama and flourish, announced his retirement in an e-mail about six months ago, it followed the standard pattern ......." sorry to be leaving...will miss everybody...enjoyed working with everyone.... spent thirty years here and feel its time to let someone else have a go....etc

You know the stuff, makes you feel sad he's going and wished he was staying on, and then,

the final line was the kicker,just when he'd lulled everybody into a state of sadness and regret he sprung it, and it went something like this....

i shall be leaving on June 15th to take up my new position as medical director in men's health in MAURITIUS......

You could almost hear him chuckling to himself as he typed those words and the gasps of envy and jealous rage from all who read it.....

still, i'll have the last laugh, i'm going to hide myself in his suitcase when he goes,

its ok though, i'll pay the excess baggage fee!!!!!!
