Lumpini Park

A group of 20 people came in to Bangkok last night and will stay for a week. We spent today exploring the city, helping them learn how to use public transportation, and seeing a few sites before helping out with Conversation Corner at the language school where I teach English.

One of our stops was Lumpini Park. It's a giant park lots of grass, trees, small lakes, and paths to stroll. Along with birds and a turtle, we saw this big creature up in a tree. Lumpini is known for these giant monitor lizards. They generally leave people alone, but if provoked, I've been told they bite.
