Mini Landscape

After all the big sky and country that we passed through in rural Washington, Oregon and Idaho I went out looking for something resonant in the neighborhood. I did not expect this to end up as a favorite but it is; I like the dark space where the foundation is separating from the house, the textures of the rotting wood, and the plants taking advantage of general neglect around the foundation. There are Seattle Planning Department forms posted and so the structure will surely be coming down in the near future. All my favorite subjects are on their way to demolition.
