Coregonus albula

Today after work fried some small fishes at the pan as Mrs.Mrok had to buy these when our son U insisted to get those small ones as father likes them very much ;)

So cooked some potatoes and vegetables and fried these with some salt and lemon pepper. These are called Muikku in finnish (Coregonus albula) and are quite small only under 10cm long living in fresh water lakes in Finland. However the most common way to use this fish is to fry very small ones as a whole or then bake the fish inside a sort of dark bread. The latter way is very common in eastern part of Finland and the dish is called Muikkukukko..
