The telegraph & argus is Bradford's very own sad rag of an excuse for journalism.

Impartiality & any attempt to reflect the views of the actual diverse people of Bradford is eschewed in favour of brown nosing council officials & local advertisers.

I am forced to purchase it on occasion but I notice not even the local chippy would now wrap it's leftovers in it.

Sometimes the web site is amusing but more for the vitriol & lack of intelligence displayed by some of it's less well educated, far right leaning, readership who leave comments (which sometimes involve words with more than one syllable) beneath the truncated excuses for postings.

I'm particularly irked that they continually mis represent the desires of the Bradford populace by mis representing & under reporting the tragedy of the possible destruction of the wonderful art deco Odeon cinema.

There are some good reporters at the T&A it's the editor I'm unimpressed with. Why? Well...

WHY WOULD THE T&A WANT THE ODEON DEMOLISHED?

The T&A are to downsize and move out of town. When they do, they?ll be wanting to sell their building. The plan is to extend St George?s Hall to make a bigger concert venue, and because the T&A building is right behind it, they will be able to sell their building as part of that plan. Of course, if the Odeon is saved, there is no need for this to happen and their building loses its value.
