Winter Magic Festival

The Winter Magic Festival is an annual event held on the weekend of the winter solstice in Katoomba.

It has become huge and most people, even if not in the parade, dress up for the occasion, (with the exception of the photographers).

It's a feast for the photographer, as most people are happy to have a camera pointed at them, it's always very colourful and attracts some 'interesting' characters. It was suitably freezing, which the tourists seem to love and very sunny, which was a bit of a shame, as grey and misty would have been better for photos.

I'm happy with what I've captured, but have settled on this one as it portrays well the enthusiasm and excitement of the day, and I really can't spend any more time trying to decide.
