Jackdaw

A woman who lived in South Devon
Said, "Our garden is simply Bird Heaven.
If you leave by the back door
You'll soon spot a jackdaw;
With luck you will see six or seven."

The words in the poem are perfectly true. There is some poetic licence here, though, in that this jackdaw was not one of our garden family. He was posing in Dartmouth, and obviously very used to people and picknickers.
