Pierless

Yet another grey and wet and windy summer's day, and another Saturday down by Alloa shore. A fleeting visit this time as it again started to chuck it down as I took these shots whilst trying to protect the camera under a golf umbrella. Somebody somewhere's taking the piss now with this weather. We're well into local gala day season and I passed through a few villages and towns this week setting up for theirs; looks like a bit of a wash-out for some.

The men of the house were left to do the usual Saturday chores this morning - quick whizz around with the duster, a squirt or two of Mr. Muscle - before sitting down to catch up on another excellent instalment of Band of Brothers, whilst the ladies went off to do a holiday clothing blitz around the shops. Apparently the speedos I bought in the early nineties are now unsuitable and require at least a PG12 classification so I now have some big short-type swimming trunks that won't scare off the children and get me arrested for indecency. Hard to get into much of a summery vibe though when it's pouring with rain and blowing a gale outside.

It's no wonder I drink (more) on a Saturday.
