Big Boy Bed

Aidan's big boy bed arrived last week, and his mattress arrived ealier this week, so today was the designated day for moving Aidan into it. We'll shortly be needing the cot to move Logan in to his own room, so rather than do everything at once, we've moved Aidan beds to get him used to it.

Aidan helped me assemble it too - he seemed rather excited at the site of his cot being dismantled and even more excited at seeing the new bed built up. He couldn't wait to jump and bounce on it, so we had to physically hold him back until we could get the mattress unwrapped and on it.

We thought he might be a bit too excited to go to sleep, and were prepared for a long night trying to get him to stay in bed, however I've just been up to check on him and he's fast asleep in his bed (not quite on the pillow, and without the duvet on him). We didn't have to go up to him once!

Not only that, but mrs monochrome fed Logan and then put him down to sleep in the moses basket in our room at around the same time. So that's both boys sound asleep in their beds, allowing us to relax with a beer in front of some Saturday night TV.
