The Rambling Path

Trains...

Well, I took some nice shots of Sheffield when I got in at the station but decided to post this instead... more representative even if there is some ginger kid in the centre who's not even looking at the camera ;)

Got up and packed before Doug was awake :P Then went to Trowbridge station, said goodbye to Doug (just managing not to cry...) and got on the train to Basingstoke. Arrived and was met by Sophie who gave me a lift to training...

Match against the U19s... started off a bit shaky, but definitely got better later on in the match:) Also did some training... then final match where we annihilated them!! :D Scored 3/4 goals so happy with that (I play in defence!!).

Here's what our captain had to say...

'We had a really good session today - started off a bit shaky in the first 45 minute game against the u19's - but they did have ten against our six - BUT after a bit of a break for some drill, the last forty minute game agains the u19's was amazing. Polly and Sophie were positioning themselves beautifully off the centre (georgie making a cameo appearance) and alex did some truly incredible saves!! really was good to see. The second game we also played with only six whilst they had ten, but we really held out own - it was actually a bit of a thrashing, we only let in one or two, so it really shows that all this training is paying off! I said to the girls that we do need to concentrate on swim training and trying to get a bit more speed up as that is when we are strongest, flying down the walls!!

:D

So then got a train back to Sheff after waiting about for 2hrs at Basingstoke (where this was taken). Thanks pjb for the chat! Definitely made it go quicker even if I couldn't work out anything you were saying for the first minute while I found the volume switch :P Ha ha :P

Got back to sheff around midnight and was lucky enough to meet Jeff for all of 5mins (he was working).

Now, bedtime zzzz
