Roll

I used to play up on the roofs of our farm. Up beside where the electricity pylons connected. The ceramics rolled with wire would hum with the power. I knew to walk where the nails were, especially on the asbestos parts.

The only time I did come to any harm was stepping backwards through a skylight. I landed on my head, on a bale of wire, and escaped with a scratch behind my ear.

As much as I'm tempted to wrap mine up in cotton wool (or toilet roll), to protect them, that's not really living. I'd rather give them strong roots, and let them grow in the air and the elements.

It's harder to do than say though.
