of the dirt we cleaned off the window in the hope of being able to see out! Donetsk is a mining area, and the carriage had plainly been sitting somewhere for quite a while picking up coal dust! Institute has been wonderful, very sad to say goodbye, but now off to Odesa (for the day), before heading to Moscow, then Nizhny, then St Petersburg, then Moscow, then Nizhny - will finally stop travelling on Saturday morning!
