Captain's Logbook

Peaceful chomping

What a stormy day! Thunderstorms and heavy rain at lunchtime cleared up over the afternoon. There was fantastic light as the sun lowered in the sky and peeped out brightly between the clouds.

Hetfordshire doesn't have much in the way of hills but there are some lovely rolling landscapes. It is very frustrating to see them all from the car but have nowhere to stop.

Today was different as I took a detour to John Lewis in Welwyn to look at new dishwashers
after this happened the other day. I read recently that something like 70% of all UK households do not have a dishwasher! Can that be right?

Anyway there are some fields near Welwyn viaduct which I was going to blip. I pulled over and mooched around looking for a decent view and having decided to go back to the first place to take my blip.....the sun disappeared behind a cloud and stayed there. So no Victorian viaduct.

But there were all these horses grazing peacefully in the field.
