The Art of Drowning

Poetry on the Beach ~ every Wednesday evening ~ an fist before sunset ~

This evening when I arrived at the beach the clouds had moved in. No bother to me ~ I still went in for a long dip before people started to arrive.

Reading poetry on the beach is so relaxing. And really natural somehow.
The readings on the beach seem to have a bit more time between each poem than there is at Open-Mics, where things are much more hurried.
At the beach there is a sense that there is plenty of time, and some conversation, and quiet thinking. and of course folks are a bit less focused as their attention is drawn away by a dog passing by, or a jogger, or a military plane flying by overhead, but no matter.
Poems are great no matter how they arrive.
