~Study Of Wild Horses / A Work In Progress~


Diane was a very accomplished watercolorist.
When I visited her home studio today,
I found this study of a wild horse still hanging
on her easel, paint brushes and paints nearby.
The shadows from the overhead skylight
added a wonderful quality to the unfinished work.
Even though it is a work in progress,
I think it is perfectly finished the way it is!

Diane passed on February 3, 2008.
She was the loving wife
of my very good friend, Jim Latham.

A lot of her watercolors are hanging
in many buildings and offices
in Tucson, Arizona.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
