Abandoned boots

I grew up on old Termite Terrace and Tom & Jerry cartoons. This scene reminded me how they depicted the after effects bolts of lightning, 10 tons of TNT, or being strapped to a giant rocket has on the characters. Only missing some wisps of smoke rising from the boots.
