Between Brushstrokes

Rainy day

It's been overcast all day long with short bursts of rain on and off and I find myself sitting in a café, dodging work. To make myself feel better about wasting time I decide to at least produce a blip.
The tree outside is as good a subject as any, I think, and suddenly I'm actually curious to see if I can find something in that motive that holds a degree of visual appeal.
As soon as I step outside, of course, it starts drizzling again, and after only three shots I flee back inside. The official reason for my retreat is that I'm protecting my expensive equipment from the forces of nature, but who am I kidding.
In any case, here's the best out of three.
