Minard

This is the little lane lane leading down from the high achieving primary school in Minard to the main road and the shore. I dropped in yesterday on my way back from Lochgiphead just to congratulate the Head Teacher and pupils on the successful campaign the village had run (along with the Argyll Rural Schools Network) which resulted in the Council withdrawing their closure plans for a number of schools in Argyll & Bute including this one. It was a happy place, and for once this summer the profusion of Rhododendron Ponticum (here and everywhere at the moment, though just beginning to fade) was bathed in highly appropriate sunshine.
