Patch of Purple

Took Juno for a long walk this morning. I was up early and she would be left for a while as we had football.

Eco son headed away to Mountain biking weekend.

Down to the league cup final. A lot of very nervous girls.

In the game we were up gainst a bigger team who played kick and chase, we try and play passing football.

A tight first half with some great passing but the finish was just no there. A break away and we were 1-0 down. In the second half the pressure and temperature was intense, a well worked equaliser and we were back in the game. A couple of missed chances and some good saves kept it even.

In the last minute a toe poke through our defence put us 2-1 down and sadly that is how it remained. Eco daughter played ok but the high standards she had set recently were not reached.

One of the purples won player of the match. The girls were delighted as it was a better trophy than the winning team's shield, well so the girls said.

Even though they lost they rallied and seemed quite happy. I was gutted and a bit down.

Wnet to the allotment, the weeds are taking over, the greenhouse was dry.
