Maltese Man

In Cambridge, especially in the summer, you have to fend off many young people selling punting trips on the river. They are almost always awfully nice and not pushy at all (well, a little, but in a nice way!). This young chap is a prime example. Among the many interesting facts he told us was that one house on the river was Hitler's favourite in England and that's why Cambridge wasn't bombed in the war. I can't verify this fact.

He said he was from Malta and so I made some stupid Malteser jokes. He took it well. :-)
