The Lowry

First time in Manchester this weekend (not sure why its taken me so long to visit). Knew for sure that I wanted to visit the Lowry Centre.

I love Lowry's pictures of urban landscapes, factories and crowds. The gallery at the centre was great, my favourite was 'Going to the match', a huge painting of the crowd heading into the old football ground.

Bonus for our visit was the special exhibition of Andy Warhol screen prints (Karen spotted the print of her hero Debbie Harry in seconds!)
