Summer day on River Kent

The heatwave cooking us in Kendal today so I took the river route into town in the vain hope of a breeze. Very tranquil down there but even the birds were feeling the heat and not too active!

Water levels are higher than a few weeks ago after all our rain - no hose pipe ban here... Yet!
