Desert Willow

Fire danger is so severe that most of the national forsests are closed for hiking and camping. Still the givernor refuses to ban fireworks with Independence Day approaching. Yesterday anbother fire started byurning out of contraol. Probablty started by fireworks, Valles Caldera one of my favorite placces in the state is burning.

Today the wind shifted, so the sky in Corrales was clear of smoke. One of the desert willows I feared had died was blooming today. I should have been optimistic.
