Rose of Sharon (Hypericum calycinum)

This was an experiment. I'm not sure if it worked. I wanted to look at the patterns rather than the plant, so I did a close up and then cropped it. Honest (even brutally honest) opinions welcome. I would have liked to have darkened the green leaf but I couldn't make it look right.
