Imperial War Museum North

Popped over to the other side of Salford Quays today and had a quick look around this place.

Amazing architecture!

Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the Polish architect.

Its design represents interlocking shards of a world broken by conflict. Each shard representing one of air, water or earth.

The tower in this shot is the Airshard and is 55m tall.

It is one of the most captivating and interesting buildings I have seen.

Oh and I didn't get any hassle from idiot security guards today. I did however, send the Director of The Lowry an email, outlining my displeasure at yesterday's incident.
