My early morning call.

I stayed overnight in an Hotel in Brighton. I had arranged for an early call for 7.30 but this fellow beat them to it by a couple of hours by "singing" on the veranda outside my room at 5.30 in the morning.

Yesterday's fine weather was today replaced by severe thunder storms in the early afternoon. Lightning strikes knocked out the signaling on the line from Brighton to Gatwick and hit the airport control tower. With the trains cancelled I had to get a taxi to the airport, at eye-watering expense, only to find that my flight was delayed by an hour.

I'm glad to be back in the cold, Northern wastes!
